Matt is a Leicestershire based performance and documentary photographer and videographer. He works closely with artists and performers across the country on projects including theatre,

dance and performance art. His ethos when it comes to documenting is to learn as much as possible in advance to gain a full understanding of the work being developed and presented. This allows him to work in the background, which ensures that he has minimal impact on the performance team, which in turn enables him to capture

the essence of the work. He always aims to approach

performances empathetically, as he believes

that his role as a documenter should have as little

impact as possible on the production process,

however some projects have actively sought his

input as an outside eye, which is something he is

very comfortable with. This work is hugely

rewarding and has given him tremendous insight

 into the truly fascinating work being created

across the performance mediums with which he

has been involved.
